25.04.2018 - Elephant Camp Animal Welfare and Sustainability Standard Workshop in Luang Prabang for Travelife and GIZ (german cooperation) with 30 stakeholders from the elephant camp and Tour Operators.
12.09.2017 - August has been a busy month! ADS Tourism Director travelled across South East Asia for audits and to promote the elephant camps standards. There was an historical meeting in Chiang Mai with 22 elephant camps participating and getting involved in the process, they take care all together of about 800 elephants. Then there was a training organized for future auditors or advisors, to train and inform specialists about the elephant camp standards. After Chiang Mai he travelled to Vientiane Laos to introduce the standards to the industry and local authorities, all were very interested and potentially will commit to support and implement the system in Laos.
